Dear IL’ites,

Today is the 5th Anniversary of Indusladies.com. As in the past few years, the site grew very nicely last year. Recently, we announced that IL has more than 1Million posts and that more than 5 Lakh Women visit this site on a monthly basis.

More than the size of the site, the fact that we were able to absorb this growth without seriously degrading the friendly and helpful nature of our community is what we all should be proud of. For that achievement, I have to thank the 40+ Moderators, Local Champions and Greeters who work tirelessly to ensure that the quality of the site is maintained and enhanced. Every year, I repeat the fact that we don’t pay these individuals. It is a passion and a labor of love for them and it shows in the care they take towards their forums.

As a small token of appreciation for their tireless efforts, I wish to gift them* the below hand-painted decorative wall hanging from Orissa. (Moderators, I hope you like it and that it finds a place in your home!)

Last year was a balanced year in many ways. We did a lot of infrastructural investments. We also did some very interesting contests for Mother's Day, International Women's Day, Get in Shape 2010 etc. As we look forward, there are tremendous opportunities for us. Forum is our mainstay and it will continue to grow and thrive. However, we want to experiment with a variety of content types and see which one is of interest to our audience here. Stay tuned!

Today, we are also making changes to allow discussions within social groups. Please see the related announcement here.

Congrats to Indusladies on its anniversary. I joined this gr. in Feb. but since then i am a regular visistor ,not a single day when i don't visit this site.It has so much to give.

Congratulates to IL, congrats to ILites, congrats to each and every one of us for touching another Birthday together.....

I'm only happy I've been a part of IL almost from the initial days and been fortunate to have got to know such fantastic ladies from here.

Everytime I come back, it's like coming back home and IL surely has been a friend, philosopher and guide - taking different avatars at different times, as per our need.

Thank U for making all this possible.
I'm happy to be a part of another celebration.
