I am here in Hillsboro for the past 2 years..
The only community i know of is the GPTM ( Great Portland Tamil Mandram) but I am not a member of it though yet.
The only friends I know so far is my husbands collegues and their family.
Would be happy to know more about you and get aqucainted.
Where do u live in Hillsboro? Kids?

Hi,
We have plans to move to Lake Oswego,oregon may be in 1 or 2 years,but not sure..Just wanted to know abt the schools in Oswego,(dont even know whether lake oswego is a residential area or have to look for apts in nearby place)cost of living ,rent of 2 BR apartment and year round weather.I have two kids,9 and 3 1/2.I know the cost of living will definitely be less than California,but really want to know whether its worth movin..What abt the population in schools and also rating of schools.

We are looking to move Hillsboro, OR in the next 2-3 months or so since, my husband's job being moved to Hillsboro from SFO San Jose.

We are a 3 member family with 8yr old boy and he goes to a good school in Fremont.

We want to know how the weather in Hillsboro , schools and any other special classes available in Hillsboro ( like Kumon or Beyond Academics). My son also goes to tamil classes at CTA Fremont, but, i believe, there is no such classes in OR.

How about indian vegetables availability there?

It would be great, if you can help us with the details and your suggestions on the area to consider in Hillsboro.

Hillsboro has become lot more like bay area these days... So u have access to almost everything u r looking for.
there is kumon in Hillsboro. And vegetables u have all similar to bay area.
there r Tamil classes too offered by private teachers and a Tamil mandram where u get information regard to classes.
if u r specific on school rating... People choose Beaverton / Bethany.
but for ppl Luke us who settled from bay area , we r happy with Hillsboro school rating itself.
