We are shifting to newcastle as my husband has got job in Nissan , any place which anyone can suggest to take house I prefer indian community

Hi, welcome to North East. Indian community in Newcastle is mostly based in Fenham area where there is a Hindu temple and Sikh gurdwaras. There are lots of Indian shops around. But it is not the best place to live. You might want to look at Gosforth which is a good area. As your husband will be working in Nissan, you could even consider Gateshead or Washington or Sunderland. Be mindful of these areas though as there are good as well as bad pockets. If you want any help in this regard, let me know.

 

Thanks for reply Seema , we are moving from london , initially my husband is moving alone and will initially be moving alone , please suggest if you or anyone knows any avialable shared accomodation for him .

Hi Megha, as accommodation is quite cheap here compared to London, people don't normally share unless students. You can get a house for around 500£ approx and a 2 bed flat for cheaper than that. if you still want sharing, let me know I can ask around.

My name is Yukti. Not sure you shifted in NCL or not, thought of replying ur msg. All the asian community ALL means ALL, you will find in Fenham area in NCL. There is a hindu temple too on the West road in Newcastle where in you will find many Indians. I dont stay in Fenham though.

I second Seema. In fenham you will find lots of Indians for sure, but would suggest to live in a place quite calmer. I am in NCL since last 7 yrs but still i never thought of living in Fenham, though sometimes feel that i dont have many friends to get along and that would have been if i was staying in fenham.
btw Seemamenon where are you located??? i am in Kenton, Newcastle.
