hi sangeeth ya even i heard the kid need 2 be minimum 3 n half to join kg1,actually only by thn the kid actually gets prepared.my daughter will b only 3 n 1mnth in april, even though its just few months differnced i think in this stage it makes a differnce especially in her case as she hasnt started talking fully yet.n tht too just rmother toungue.well anways i put her in little buds nursery 3 dasy back, she is doin fine,i like the nursery ,its nt very crowded n the teachers are also good, its actuualy run by the sme lady who use 2 run noah's ark,she lost to her partner in a case n later strted this one so ts defintelly in eperinced hands,i liked the lady a lot she made be feel comfortable. i had rang up merry land ,i asked them wether i cn put her 2 kg1 in sept bt they said i cnt do tht,as its middle of the term ,n they dnt gve admissions then.bt the i cn put her in british curicullam if i wnt in spet,as for it the term strts only then bt i prefer cbsce sylabbus as it wud be better if ever go back 2 india,so for cbsce i hve 2 weight till nxt april she will b 4 nxt feb. i knw the gemaco shop,we pass in frnt of it all the time as its on the way home,my house very near by,may be we cn meet sometime cn u pls tell me hw ws the admissions procdure in merryland,do u need any refernce or is it walk in,is it tough 2 get admission there.n do merryland kids automatically gt admssion 2 sherwood or is it a differnt procedure? take care jess my kid will be 6yrs in july.i didnt send her to preschool.she directly joined KG1 in merryland.she was then 3yrs and 8 months.their requirement for KG1 is 31/2 yrs completed by april.thats what i remember.anyway confirm this.i have seen that some kids join KG1 in september also once their age requirement is complete.that wont affect what they learn of course.because the way the teachers train the kids is like that.its not classroom teaching.they go to each kid and teach them depending on kids need.teachers do call the parents and give feedback if needed.if u want to send ur kid to merryland,i would suggest that u and ur husband ,personally go there and talk to them. good that u intend to study further.since u hav registered for MCom ,why dont u complete it?I completed my MBA IT(sikkim manipal university)last year from Wisdom Institute. we stay in the building next to GEMACO interiors. luv sangeeth[/quote]

I need your advice ladies! I hate the job I am currently doing. The pay is not much and we end up spending more than saving! So I am thinking about staying home and perhaps earn some money working at home or doing some small business. Hopefully we can get by on my hubby's income and spend my extra income on other stuff. I just want to know from others on this board whether you all are working from home, whether tutoring, babysitting, stiching, cooking or any other work/small business. It may give all of us some helpful insight. How much do you charge an hour on tutoring kids? How much do you charge an hour on babysitting? Have you set up any business here? etc.......... Let's help each other out ladies! I am sure there are lots of women like me who have kids and would rather work from home! :thumbsup
