Hi Any one watching Indian Idol 5. Yesterday I watched for the first time. I was quite impressed with the contestants this time. All these years the contestants or the winner were not singer material when compared to zee's music show (i have forgotten the name) but this time the judges have really done a good job of picking good contestants. I liked the folk singer some swarop khan he is.:bowdown Others are atleast familiar with Hindi songs. but this fellow had to learn the basics of hindi film singing. Good luck to him. I agree. This year the contestants are already singing so good and its not even the first round. Last night I particularly liked the Fashion movie song "Jalwa" sung by the 29 year old guy...he was awesome. It felt like he is already a playback singer, IMO. I plan to watch all the episodes this time.
my favourite is indian idol,i start seeing it from indian idol 3,this time all the contenstant are tuff competitive to each other,i too loved jalwa song sung by that guy also halbali song sung by that golumolu girl...good performance from everyone.this is really a good platform for singer to prove and fullfill their dream. :cheers deepu
Yaa very true....this tyme the competition looks very tough....All of them are sooo good.... Even I liked the Jalwa song and yes...Swaroop's singing is good too.... Ohhh! How I giggled while watching the auditions and Indian Idol Extraas....they were nice..

I agree with all you girls that Indian Idol 5 has great singers this year. Tia is cute and has quite a strong voice. The 29yr old, Vishwas is awesome. :thumbsup Swaroop Khan, the exemplary folk singer has taken to bollywood music quite easily even though he has never heard bollywood songs before. Amazing talent! Being a Hyderabadi, I am partial to SreeRamachandra too ( he has won a few regional singing competitions before turning into a playback singer in Telugu)

I am watching regularly Indian Idol...any early favorites you guys have?? I like almost all of them....I just love Sri Ram...he is my favorite to win this title...also Naushad has a good chance too.
I am also watching Indian Idol 5. Very good singers!! I like Sree Ramachandra :thumbsup I just hope he does not get eliminated due to lack of votes. South Indians get less votes :drowning
Hi,I too watch Indian Idol 5. Really the contestants are doing their best. Sometimes, I feel the judges are too strict that some contestants might get discouraged. (especially Sunidhi judging Tia in Asha Bhosle episode). Kavitha
