India Travel- Gift Ideas For Teenage Girls

    Hi ILs,

    We are traveling to India and we have relative teenage kids( girls) to whom we wanted to gift something.

    Here are some gifts suggested in previous posts that I liked
    1. Jackets or Fleece jackets
    2. Make up related - nail polish, lipsticks, perfumes etc
    3. Innovative Lunch boxes

    These ideas are good but I’m wondering are there any gift suggestions that could be helpful and also different. Any gifts that are popular or mainly available in US but not India. Basically looking for some unique options.

    For my teenage kids we got them small backpack hand bags as that’s what the young kids are using them..

    I know young girls like skinny jeans

    Maybe skinny jeans with simple sneakers

    They can pair that with a cute top (I dunno what their Mom allows them to wear, whether kurti top or tank top)

    Jeans have to fit perfectly. I wouldn’t buy them for someone else without them trying it on.
    Sneakers are a good idea. Vejas seem to be popular right now.

    My suggestion is stay away from clothes because the fit is important and they have to try it on.

    Get them things like backpacks, small electronic items (if you know they want it), nailpolishes (avoid things like lipstick or foundation because the shade needs to match their skin tone but you can go for lip glosses). Teenagers also like certain brand/design sneakers. If you know exactly what brand and design of sneakers they are dreaming of, you will make their day for a long time.

    Otherwise most things available in US is available in India.

    How about airpods/earbuds/headphones.. Teens glued to their phones these days… but check the compatibility before buying it.

    Gen Z - Teens of India with wider exposure to worldly knowledge thanks to satelite TV and internet are brilliant and cant be satisfied with cheap items however useful it is. But emblazoned monogrammed T- shirts a d Berumudas liked by boys a d girls too.
    When young DILs are happily come around in Berumudas in front of their affluent In-Laws, the teens have a feel if uninhibhitedness or absolute no reservations. Foreign printed comics in print or in tape obsolete ideas. Electronic gaming machines are quite an attraction.

    I was so surprised to see the Skechers,crocs, Nike store even all the fast food places including,Burger King,McDonald’s,kfc as always there and Pizza Hut, Taco Bell is here in India, as other ladies suggested get them candy and little goodies and take them shop and buy them branded things here other suggestion but take them only
    You are so so close to so you won’t regret buying them things they like and you are happy….

    as they have lots of varieties of Indian dresses for 2k rupees one can get an excellent party wear….hahahaha too many ideas to take into consideration
