Recently, I took a short (one week) trip to Delhi, India. I thought to share my experience with those who might be planning to visit family. I left on Friday afternoon and returned the next Friday morning. I am fully vaccinated which definitely helped me make this decision to travel during the spring break and spend some quality time with my aging parents. I flew direct from San Francisco to Delhi on a United Airlines flight. All passengers were required to submit a negative Covid test taken within 72h of boarding the plane. Indian authorities require it to be an RT-PCR test. I booked mine for Wednesday afternoon at CVS and received results on Thursday morning. Similarly, all passengers were required to submit a negative Covid test on the return flight. I took a test from a diagnostic lab in my town on Wednesday morning and received results on Friday morning. Both ways, we needed to submit the results online. The planes were completely full both ways and masks were mandatory except during meals. It was a short trip but was definitely worth it!
