    INDIA TO CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY:cheers

I would like to inform my Dear friends that many parts of India will be celebrating my Birthday with lots of colors and fun. My birthday falls on March 20, when I will be hiding indoors and watching the fun.

March 20 happens to be World House Sparrow Day. I will request all my dear friends to keep clean water and grain for the sparrows and even make nests for them. The advent of man-made threats like mobile phone towers and microwave pollution has almost killed the house sparrow.

Modern architecture and shrinking gardens and parklands have rendered sparrows homeless, as they like to nest in nooks and crannies. Meanwhile, use of pesticides has killed off the bugs the bird feeds its young with.

As you celebrate this day, never lose sight of the fact that the humble sparrows need to be saved for preserving our eco-system.

Many Happy returns of the day (in advance)! :)

With 3G in our lives, internet speed may be faster, but the dangerous radiation is sure to dwindle the sparrow count!

Hi Suresh, many more happy returns of the day.
It is nice that March 20 happens to be World House Sparrow Day. But we don't see any house sparrows nowadays. they have become almost extinct. Only in villages and mofussils we may find them.

Hey happy birthday in advance yaar..

May you be blessed with all good things in life.

    My son's b'day is on march 21st:).
I love house sparrows(is it what we call தேன் சிட்டு?)

we have a lot of them here in KL and one always likes to come and sit next to my work window. Many time i forget what Iam typing and will start admiring the little beauty.

    Thanks for the message dear.
