I think even the response that 'we are mothers so obviously our hubbies don't need Viagra' might have hurt her. It was a forward not an email she herself composed. Quite possibly she received that from someone else and blindly hit forward like many people do. So there may neither have been the intent to offend you nor the motive to forward a sleezy email on to you with the attending insinuations. In my opinion both you and J overreacted.

You should simply hit delete on all of her forwards. I do that. In fact, I have told some of my cousins and friends to take my email off their f/w list so that I am spared the agony of having junk take up most of my inbox space.
