This American is traveling in a middle Eastern country, probably Syria.

There is a famous mosque that he wants to visit. However, the mosque is known for its policy of being closed to non-Muslims. Curiosity (and the allure of the forbidden fruit) gets the best of him and he decides to go in. However, he is very scared and pays close attention to every possible sign of trouble.

He walks around the outer sanctum when he hears from behind the sound

    "Stop"

He knows that the jig is up.

"How are they going to kill me -- Beheading? Hanging? A shot to the head"

he wonders. He slowly turns his head around. What he sees is a young man with a big boom box (radio) on his shoulder, from which emanates the rest of the Diana Ross song,

    "In the name of love
    Before you break my heart

    Baby, baby
I'm aware of where you go
Each time you leave my door
I watch you walk down the street
Knowing your other love you'll meet
But this time before you run to her
    Leaving me alone and hurt
(Think it over) After I've been good to you ?
(Think it over) After I've been sweet to you ?

Stop! In the name of love "

    :)

Made me think a lot about what the song meant Sojourner. Haven't heard it before, but the lyrics is good. Thanks. -rgs

Akila: After I wrote this piece, I had the (sinking) feeling that I have already written this story. I have not checked but I won't be surprised if that is the case.

Since a couple of people had commented, I didn't want to delete the blog entry.

As my guru Dr. B.F.Skinner said,

"As you get older, the only person you plagiarize is yourself"

    :)

I am sure that a lot of the phrases will be identical also, lending support to the theory that our utterances and writings are "caused events" instead of acts of a creative mind.
