I have completed 5 chapters now.

When I started reading the book, I felt a kind of similarity between Emma and Becky Bloomwood - all confused - never hearing the conversations, because she wasn't too interested in it.

But, after the 5th chapter I think, Emma is a kind of different person. She is not the not-interseted type, she is just the kind of person who wants to do it, but evidently goes wrong or she simply lacks the skills (atleast as compared to her cousin!)

    hi,
I have read this book earlier and it is a fun, breezy read. Emma is a different heroine from Becky. I think she is more the 'girl next door' type who is trying to make a career and a life in the big city. She is not a airhead like Becky and doesn't spend on designer stuff she cannot afford. I enjoyed the book.
