Anyday GRT jwellers at Usman road north and as south branches are good reliable and no nonsense palace. From 1964 our family near & dear and my daughter's extended family are patrons of this gold palace which has numerous varieties if wearable besides coin of silver and sovereign gold.
For investments many seem to buy gold coins and silver discs from here and when it is resold to them there is no sedharam deduction.
Choose good time and date from almanac or speak to GRT rep who guides. Avoid rush hour traffic and be in shop by 10 am and after purchase wear it straight away and go home straight.

I was going to mention GRT too, as i have bought plenty of jewelry from them and had no complaints at all. However as your experience with them has not been good, u can try Khazana jewelry or even prince jewelry which are very good too. The staff too are very helpful and you can specify your requirements to them.

Want to share a funny story about jewellery. I used to wear Silver jewelleries. Always my Friends and acquaintances ask me whether those are platinum jewelleries and I tell them it’s silver. But that question interested me in buying platinum jewellery. I told about it to my friend and she told me there is no resale value for that. So I dropped the idea and the same friend gifted a Rose gold diamond pendant and I went to GRT to get the rose gold short chain. Long story short, I ended up in Platinum jewellery section and buying very light weight platinum jewelleries without diamonds so it was not very expensive. Now coming back to the funny story , all of them are asking whether it’s a silver jewellery .
