I am pleasantly surprised that there are 10 votes for the last two options! Folks stay tuned for a thread devoted exclusively to learning, debating and arguing over core atheistic philosophy. Logical fallacies, Pascal's wager, Epicurus' dilemma, Russels' teapot, atheist's wager, fate of the unlearned, free will, god of the gaps, Hitchens's razor, omnipotence paradox, problem of evil, problem of Hell and the works of Sagan, Hitchens, Dawkins, Harris et. al. Atheism 501 for the curious, both believers and nonbelievers!
Why does it matter? I didn't start the thread to change any views. It was only to understand how people think about faith. All previous threads on this topic have crashed and burned. In that sense, this one is a success, right? 30 pages and we are all still talking to each other!
Basically we are now talking of 4 possibilities and various combinations of those. God vs no God Religion vs no Religion
@kaniths whats with mocking at those who anchor around faith? They are not asking you to do anything, right? If you don't believe in the faith, then alright, but you are no greater for questioning faith nor are folks who believe any lesser, ain't it?
Now you chose to say its alright to not believe? had it been the way all along I wouldn't have too maybe!
Please let it rest. I will delete one on one arguments. If anyone has issues with moderation, feel free to PM admin.
Not yet ...not for all. When I was doing particle physics...a lot of handwaving...string theory/parallel universe was shoved down our throat.
