    If everything is temporary,
why do we trace the same roads
    again and again,
    letting our feet memorize
    the curves of familiar streets?
    Why do certain places
    wrap around our hearts,
    become quiet shelters,
    holding our laughter,
    our tears, our unspoken prayers?
    If everything is temporary,
why do we meet certain people,
    at just the right moment,
    as if the universe whispered,
    Here, take this soul—
    you will need them now?
    Why do their words stay,
    long after they’ve left,
    and their presence echo
in the rooms of our memory?
    If everything is temporary,
    why do we worry,
    build fragile hopes,
    fear gentle losses,
    and ache for tomorrows
    we cannot control?
    Maybe because,
    in a temporary world,
    every moment matters more.
    Every place becomes sacred,
    every person becomes a lesson,
    every worry a sign
    that we dared to care.
    And maybe,
    it is this very impermanence
    that teaches us
    how to love deeply,
    hold softly,
    and live fully—
    before the moment changes.

    @nandinimithun,

Nicely written in a poetic language the nature of life in a temporary world.

The right question to ask is who is experiencing the feelings and emotions? Is that something that is temporary or permanent? Are Time and Space transient or permanent? Why day and night happen? Why time flies when we are happy and time slows down when we experience sadness? Who is the real perceiver? When we consciously experience thoughts, speaks words and perform action, how some of the functions such as inhalation and exhalation, heart beat, immune system, blood circulation happen without any intervention by conscious mind? Where did we come from and where are we going?

Contemplating or brooding over this undercurrent meaning of your poem, one tend to agree with your averment.

But in real life, how many realise this truth? Seldom and only their life is marching toward ultimate destination. Otherwise in mundane matters people are submerged thinking that they and their possessions & wealth and kin are permanent on this planet.

Hundreds os saints, monks and apostles have made it clear through their enunciated pasurams and spiritual writings that life is akin to an evanescent water bubble or dew drops. With surroundings getting warmer and warmer by the day, the dew drops disappear.

Deep questions to ponder and am sure the answers will be deeper and thought pondering.

    In my opinion, because-
There is nothing better or worse to do.
Live life as it comes simply because you were not born of choice and will die of choice.
