Paranthaman was very irritated that sunday morning. For, he had to pick his wife's distant relative from the train terminus. "And there goes my sunday!" he complained. His wife kept quite. She knew him well enough and was sure of what would happen if she said anything to him then.

He grunted and went to the train station, with his bag which was filled with the newspaper, snacks, a novel [from the lending library] and his purse [big one, which you can't keep in a pant pocket]. He was disappointed to see a big rush at the ticket counter. "Where all these idiots are going to, this morning?" he was wondering, when two young men sneaked into the queue before him. He was ready for a fight, but they were younger and stronger. So he had to stop just in time.

He was also irritated by the ticket providing staff and people behind him for their "rude" behaviour. At last he got his ticket and reached the platform. The train was late by 15 minutes ["when will these idiots come on time?"]. He put the ticket in his pocket and boarded the already crowded train. Before he could fully balance, many others boarded after him and were yelling him to move inside. After much difficulty, he managed to go to a corner and stand, after keeping his bag in the rack above him.

As the train went from station to station, more people boarded and he felt like he was soon crushed. "Idiots!" he said aloud, to which many people objected at once. "If you want a comfortable journey, you should go by a car!", somebody was telling him. He was cursing everyone and everything - his wife, that relative, the crowd, the government and what not?

Finally he reached the intended place. It was still crowded, but he had more room now. He waited till the train reached the station and looked above, to pick his bag.

    It was missing!

OMG !!!!!!! But i was expecting this when you had mentioned earlier that he put his purse in the bag.... bcos it was too big enough to fit in his pocket.

But then the character depicted.. has to be portrayed so to match the title !!!!!!!

    Hai RGS,

Idiot missed the purse. I expected this. If you cannot resist from your irritation surely you will forget yourself
to complete your job. Everybody in their life should realise.

People generally tend to ridicule others for their 'mistakes', but do not look upon their own. You are right Uma. Thanks for your feedback. -rgs
