Ideas for decorating kids room!

hey All,

We are renovating our home and I need some good ideas to decorate the kids room....things to be taken care of and places which can be used for storage.

Thus ideas wherein I can optimize the whole space with enough room for a kid to play...

Hey,

The best storage place can be the bed....you can make multiple small cabinets inside the bed instead of one big one.....
Try to place minimum furniture.....a bed, a study table should be sufficient....if needed you can put 2 small bean bags.....
Put a big bag , I usually use a laundry bag for all the tit bits and toys in the corner...color it with bright colors......

I have also put a white board and a bulletin board in my kids room.....white board can be on the empty wall say around 1 feet above ground till 3 feet....so that your kid can do all the master drawings on it instead of spoiling the walls.....

Use walls instead of floor for storing and decorating...

always have ventilated cabinets are storage areas...
kids are so curious....... they may lock themselves or others inside cabinets...
safety is very important initially....
paint the room colorfully, with different colors... r pictures or wall papers...

Hey,

We got a pic of our baby enlarged to the size of a wallpaper and in black and white and we pasted it on the wall behind the bed....it looks very classy....as soon as you enter the room...you feel very strongly about the room and its belonging to the particular individual.

You can also take a particular theme and decorate the room accordingly like jungle, fairy, princess, flowers, park etc etc any fun theme and decorate the walls according to it...
