Dear Aruna,

You said it right.... All my happiness is with him... He takes care of me... I have seen so many husbands who don't want to take their wives out only because they don't look beautiful enough... But my husband never hesitates to take me out. But he always will be keen if I am not embarrassed with the situation outside... Sometimes people used to stare at me when I start to walk... I hesitate to walk further and get tensed.... He would make me comfortable and encourage me and would tell me not to bother about them....

Thank GOD, I got these wonderful two families....

What a beautiful piece of narration and how endearing you are! I do not think that you are 'the glass is half empty' type at all. Good things feel reluctant to come knocking at the doors of 'glass is half empty' type but in your case, good things keep happening at such regularity. This must be only due to your positive outlook.

I am presently reading a book by Rhonda Byrne called 'Magic'. In this wonderful book, she goes on to tell us how to make all the magic that we yearn for in our life happen to us. It is a course to be followed through 28 days and is based on the simple truth that the more we count our blessings and feel grateful for them, the more blessings will flood our lives. Your life already stands testimony to this great secret of happiness.

I loved your post on many levels!

First and foremost, I loved your name! You say you have suffered from polio and I can well understand how it must have affected you. Then, there are all those people who enjoy great health and moan about things not worth losing a moment upon. But, here you go calling yourself 'Lovelyme'! You must be more than lovely-- you are beautiful with a beautiful mind and heart!

Secondly, you have the ability to count your blessings! The first step to a happy living! While so many forget all their positives and hug depression because a friend's hurtful words or an in-law's mean act, you in the face of adversity are able to recognize and appreciate your loving parents, helpful friends and an adoring husband.

Above all, you are able to enjoy the simple joys of life. That ferry ride your husband and relatives made possible for you is your dream come true and you have cherished it so much that you brought it to us in all its splendor! In doing so, you have spread optimism and cheer amongst all those who read the post.
