I am confused, hurt & angry

If your partner is sick, then one should be responsible to take care of them. What you experienced in unacceptable. So what did you do about it. I mean not when u are sick, you somehow managed to survive and take care of those babies. Once you are back here, did you talk to your husband about it? Did you tell him what he did was wrong and irresponsible?

Having an issue in your heart will only break you and hurt you even more. You yourself say that being treated this way is killing you inside. Dont just repent, take control and put a stop to this.

This is what I do if I was in your situation.

If you like to visit your family now and then,then I wouldn't care where my husband goes and spend time and i don't force him to stay with me.
I will enjoy my stay and come back without worrying about DH stay.
Don't even expect he would come to your place for you and for kids.
At the same time spend some amount of time with in-laws.if they are bad mouthing and if your husband doesn't care if you stay with them or not then don't even take tension to stay with in-laws too.
I know my MIL,she never ever even think about grand kids who are girls.All she wants is money and grand sons.She changed little bit these days.
