This is a big no. You already feel the stress of being a mom and wife at the same time. It's regardless whether you have a good relationship with your in-laws. Something will certainly come up eventually, and it may just cost permanent damage to your relationship. Don't want to be pessimist, but this is true.

 

You must pack up and go with toddler son to husband & surprise him; and insist that right place to live for you and the baby is with husband wherever he is on the planet. Insist at this period of life that you both should be together and ask him politely to take care of parents in whatever manner he deems fit.

2. Wherever is Rama that place should be Ayodhya for Sitha.

3. If you don’t insist now, by and by, you would be made to get used to stay with this type of arrangement that would pave way for many other issues including your health and His too.

If Sita had decided to stay back in the palace, with her parents-in-laws, we would have had a totally different story.

Eons of RamLila dramas after that would've been about something totally different. Perhaps the moral of the dramas would have justified those thousands of workers from India, leaving their newly wed (likely newly pregnant) wives behind, and going off to African-Nations/Malaysia/Burma and places even farther, like Suriname, to eke out a living, and send money home to their wives.

Songs like this wouldn't have any meaning.

 

In that case Sita would be venting to some websit- like indusladies about her Sufferings at the hands of her MIL, BILs Mothers & BILs. Just for laugh.

What's with Indian men? They are willing to help their parents by moving heaven and earth. But have no concern for what their wives go through! Unfortunately, whatever solutions we suggest here, the OP will have troubles because the basic expectations and people will not change. @orangepaint hugs to you and strength to deal with the situation.
