    Hi Anika,

    I do agree that you should ignore the comments of others. But deep down if you have a strong desire to do something you should definitely act on it, as years down the lane you should not regret for not doing what you always wanted to.. i would say you should get a job and work, and then decide if it's worth it or not.. at least then you would feel i tried, but it wasn't worth the time/effort..

    As a personal example i would like to say that as a working woman, i felt i always missed something and always had to pick second best choices ( which i thought was a big deal) in my educational/professional side when i was in India. But coming to US i did get much more than i dreamt of, and it made me so happy and get over that feeling of Dissatisfaction that i had before.. Now am content enough to reduce my job hours to a part time one to spend time with family. For me, i wanted to prove that i was capable, for my own self satisfaction, not for others.
