    Hi Devika,
My DH is also a music lover like me. He often used to sing 'Vazhatthandu(original is kothavaranga?) pola udambu alek'....'sindhu nadiyin isai nilavinile.....' 'Eena meena dika...' Music has a special place in keeping the romance in marriage alive...
    Love

    Hi Devika,

indeed a very good thread, i have lot of songs to mention, especially the day we got engaged was the happiest day of my life and we were talking on phone for almost all the night. i used to keep humming that song all the time those days "aaj lagta hai mein havaaon me hu aaj itni khusi mili hai" from tumsa nahin dekha,

last year when he came to my moms place to take me home after our sons birth, the 40day ceremony had just finished, and I could easily sense the eagerness he had to take be back home, he had missed me for all the 40 days. when I sat in the car he played this song and told he dedicated this to me, as I looked more beautiful after becoming a mother.........tuu meri zindagi hai tuu meri har khushi hai, tu hi pyar tu hi chahat, tu hi aashiqui hai........from aashiqui.........wow he made me feel so special that day.

i always sing this song for him & he likes it too:

oh saathi re.. tere bina bhi kya jeena, tere bina bhi kya jeena
phoolon me kaliyon me sapno ki galiyon me tere bina kuch kahin naa
    tere bina hi kya jeena

thanks for reminding me all the melodies of my past.

    Love
    Ayesha

    Hi Devika Ji,
    Nice thread indeed..
Well. the moment I step in to this thread, I started remember all the lovely songs, making me very hard to pick up..hmm..

The songs I would like to choose are:

1.Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein khayal aata hai
ke jaise tujko banaya gaya hai mere liye

    2. Ehsaan tera hoga mujh par dil chahta kai jo
kehne do mujhe tumse mohabbat hogayi hai

    3. Kehna hai kehna hai aaj tumse yeh pehli baar
oh oh tumhi to laayi ho jeevan mein mere pyar pyar pyar hi pyar

    4. baharon phool barsao mera mehaboob aaya hai
    mera mehaboob aaya hai

    5. tere bina zindagi se koyi shiqwa to nahin shiqwa nahin shiqwa nahin

Oops.. I posted quite a number of songs. (I like the oldies better than the new ones). and even though I stopped writing.. the songs are coming to my mind in a full flow.. viola.. I cant think any thing :(

    Hi Devika......
Both of us love music........but I had never dedicated any song to my DH but he used to do it too often......During weekends when we got a chance to have our launch together.......he will simply choose one song for me and play it.....it's really a very romantic gesture from his side.......or when I am off, he will play some of my fav song........but whatever the situation is, he does select songs for me......always......
I can't dedicate anything to him as I like mostly Ghazals.....and bizarre songs with very nice music e.g.......songs of gangster.......Tu hi meri saab hai subah hai..tu hi dil hai mera...and Ya ali........madad Ali.....ya ali.........or songs of Murder like.....Kaho na kaho.....yeh ankhen bolti hai sanam.....and so many..........
    Regards.

Anyways, let me at least put our fav. song during our courtship: By Beatriz Luengo

    Listen, baby
    Ain't no mountain high
    Ain't no valley low
Ain't no river wide enough, baby.

If you need me, call me
    No matter where you are
    No matter how far
    (don't worry baby)
    Just call my name
I'll be there in a hurry
    You don't have to worry

    'Cause baby,
There ain't no mountain high enough
    Ain't no valley low enough
    Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you baby

    Remember the day
    I set you free
    I told you
You could always count on me darling
From that day on I made a vow
I'll be there when you want me
    Some way, some how

    'Cause baby,
There ain't no mountain high enough
    Ain't no valley low enough
    Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you baby

No wind, no rain, or winter's cold
    can't stop me baby
    no, no baby
    'cause you are my goal
    if you're ever in trouble
i'll be there on the double
    just sing for me
    oh baby!

    My love is alive
    Way down in my heart
    Although we are miles apart
If you ever need a helping hand
I'll be there on the double
    As fast as I can

    'Cause baby,
There ain't no mountain high enough
    Ain't no valley low enough
    Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you baby

    Ain't no mountain high enough
    Ain't no valley low enough
    Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you baby

    Ain't no mountain high enough
    Ain't no valley low enough
    Ain't no river wide enough
    To keep me from you

    Ain't no mountain high enough
    Ain't no valley low enough
    Ain't no river wide enough
    To keep me from you

Nothing to keep me from getting to you...

    Regards.......
