my HP spectra 360 laptop screen broke yesterday when I accidentally dropped it in our driveway. Called some repair guys they said the screen is more than $1000 so it would be hard to repair.. What options do i have? The warranty expired 3 months after I purchased it last year. I called HP tech support they said they can fix it for $500.. There must be a cheaper option out there?? Anyone have any ideas?

Its easy to replace the laptop screen. Try searching Ebay for the screen and replace it yourself. I did it for my Dell recently. Look for the same specs as yours. Something like this ( the below is touch screen and 13 inch, but you should be able to find yours.
