    what do you think of name Praneel for a baby boy? We are in US and want to know if this sound good and what are advantages and disadvantages of having this name? Does any one know the actual orgin of this name?

    I have a feeling that his nickname at school and with friends may become neel. Which is easy to pronounce and sounds like Neil.

    I think americans will be able to pronounce it just fine without ruining it. Get a few coworkers to pronounce it to see how the spelling might be interpreted by difft ppl.

    Btw what does it mean ?

    yes, i to thought the same and so preferring this name. One meaning is Lord Shiva.

    I have not found any one with this name until now, so don't know if this would be perfect or not?
