    Dear Mama,

Oru periya :whistle aduchukerein kochukadhingo please. Wow enna post...i imagined myself in your shoes except never got the chance to prove my vocal poweress, that too my brother having good vocal chords defintely stifled all my passions and had to settle myself with veena for some time.

Mama very happy to note atleast you could prove your worth infront of mami and your daughters....hats off. So when I come home next time I can hear to Venkatachala nilayam live....:biglaugh

    Dear Lalitha,
I am happy to know that you play Veena. We practice music initially for our self satisfaction and inner peace. The next stage comes when we sing for others. If we compare ourselves with others we cannot practice. Two of my sisters sing-one excels in melody and devotion while the other is scientific-no mistakes. When they sing together they compliment each other.
    Regards

    Dear LN Sir

Good to know that you are interested in music and a good singer. When you all meet must be enjoying your sisters music. I also wanted to learn Carnatic music but did not get a chance. But like to hear music. My two bhabhis are good singers. My brother has not learnt but he sings well.
You have narrated very well as usual and like to read your posts.

    Regards

    Dear Lalitha,
It was great fun to read your note. This will only spur me to try harder.I regularly listen to fusion music[veena[ by Rajesh Vaidya-His CDs can help you to achieve greater heights.

    Dear LN Sir

Its right that it is never too late to learn music. Actually when I was 11 years old one music teacher started music but by the time could learn Keertans he got married and did not come back.

That way I can sing some songs for Navratri or when noone is there to sing for Poojas or other functions. I know some old songs like Raja Rajeswari Devi Kanyakumari, Amba nee iranga venil pugaz ethu, Yar undanai pol adharippavar which are my favourite songs and some more.
Learnt Bhajans for for sometime. I attend Bhajans and love singing Bhajans. Like Divya nama Bhajan songs very much.

    Regards
    Viji

    Dear Viji,
Sorry for the belated response to your FB.Navarathri is a good festival to learn 5/6 songs every year. That way in a matter of 10 years you will have an additional inventory 50/60 songs.Try out simple songs like Janaki Ramana,Theeratha vilayattu pillai,Karunalaya etc which are simple but janaranjagamana songs.I have taken the liberty of advising you because I can sense your adhangam for not learning music from a professional.

    Dear Mindian,
This is the greatest compliment ever paid to me-only thing is to imagine a Bertie clad in dhoti kurta typing feverishly with one finger to win accolades from PGW fans like you.
    Thanks
