    Dear All,

One of my friends mailed me the article below which I think is very important at this point of time where in the Indian economy is in a very bad shape.
Kindly spend few minutes of your time in reading it and try to implement it in your daily life.

    Save the Indian Rupee

YOU CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO THE INDIAN ECONOMY BY FOLLOWING FEW
    SIMPLE STEPS:-

Please spare a couple of minutes here for the sake of India.

I got this article from one of my friends, but it's true. I can see
this in day to day life.

    Here's a small example:-

    Before 12 months 1 US $ = INR Rs 42
    After 12 months, now 1$ = INR Rs 62

Do you think US Economy is booming? No, but Indian Economy is Going Down.

Our economy is in your hands....

INDIAN economy is in a crisis. Our country like many other ASIAN
countries, is undergoing a severe economic crunch. Many INDIAN
industries are closing down. The INDIAN economy is in a crisis and if
we do not take proper steps to control those, we will be in a critical
    situation.

More than 30,000 crore rupees of foreign exchange are being siphoned
out of our country on products such as cosmetics, snacks, tea,
beverages, etc... which are grown, produced and consumed here.

A cold drink that costs only 70 / 80 paisa to produce, is sold for
Rs.9 and a major chunk of profits from these are sent abroad. This is
a serious drain on INDIAN economy.

We have nothing against Multinational companies, but to protect our
own interestsm we request everybody to use INDIAN products only
atleast for the next two years. With the rise in petrol prices, if we
do not do this, the Rupee will devalue further and we will end up
paying much more for the same products in the near future.

What you can do about it?

    1. Buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.
    2. ENROLL as many people as possible for this cause.....

Each individual should become a leader for this awareness. This is the
only way to save our country from severe economic crisis. You don't
need to give-up your lifestyle. You just need to choose an alternate
    product.

All categories of products are available from WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.

WE ARE NOT ANTI-MULTINATIONAL. WE ARE TRYING TO SAVE OUR NATION. EVERY
DAY IS A STRUGGLE FOR A REAL FREEDOM. WE ACHIEVED OUR INDEPENDENCE
    AFTER LOSING MANY LIVES.
THEY DIED PAINFULLY TO ENSURE THAT WE LIVE PEACEFULLY. THE CURRENT
    TREND IS VERY THREATENING.

MULTINATIONALS CALL IT GLOBALIZATION OF INDIAN ECONOMY. FOR INDIANS
LIKE YOU AND ME, IT IS RE-COLONIZATION OF INDIA . THE COLONIST'S LEFT
INDIA THEN. BUT THIS TIME, THEY WILL MAKE SURE THEY DON'T MAKE ANY
    MISTAKES.

THEIR EXPERIENCE AND FROM OUR HISTORY. LET US DO THE DUTY OF EVERY
    TRUE INDIAN.

FINALLY, IT'S OBVIOUS THAT YOU CAN'T GIVE UP ALL OF THE ITEMS
MENTIONED ABOVE. SO GIVE UP AT LEAST ONE ITEM FOR THE SAKE OF OUR
    COUNTRY!

We would be sending useless forwards to our friends daily. Instead,
please forward this mail to all your friends to create awareness.

"LITTLE DROPS MAKE A GREAT OCEAN ."

PLEASE TRY TO BE AN INDIAN.....

    Thanks for reading the article.

    Bavishya,
    Excellent post and good approach.

To SAVE INDIAN RUPEE by NOT SAVING GOLD!! This is my approach.

I will not buy a gram of gold any more.
I will not invest my savings in GOLD or jewellery any more. Not envious abt my friends or neighbours wearing gold jewelleries.

Secondly NO DOWRY approach by parents and grooms will also lift our economy.

Each one of us makes a decision on gold will have a great impact on Rupee value and that would control the cost of petrol/diesel, which can have some savings on transportation cost thus resulting in lower cost of consumer goods and products.
This will make every Indian to have access to Food and live happily.
Else our india will be filled with robbery, killings etc for individual's survival due to rise in cost of essentials.

India does not have its fundamentals right, it will take many cycles of ups and downs to become a stable economy. Maybe in another 50 years.

Exactly. This is not a situation of stop using imported products. Its far more than that. We are a growing economy and we simply cannot say today we will use Indian products and tomorrow we will go back to using imported one's. It simply doesnt work that way unless we are talking about forever boycotting imported products.

It goes both ways. First of all we are trying in attract foreign investments (Hope you are all reading RBI's updates). How will we do that if we boycott imported goods?

Interest rates are going to go up. Deficit will increase and as usual Congress will come up with another plan like Food-Plan further dipping and stripping India.

Another 2 years to stabilize for sure...if not more.

I don't think "buying only indian products" will help us stabilize the economy.

The government doesn't give equal rights to indian companies. For example, my parents own a small business and they struggle every day due to frequent power cuts. They have to pay full salaries to their employees, yet won't be able to be use their resources efficiently.

On the other hand, none of the mutlinational companies are affected by power cuts as much as indian companies.

Another problem is, indian companies are not equal in quality. My main reason for buying international products is because I know they're high quality and will last longer. Most of the indian companies quality standards are poor. Even if indian companies want to compete, it will be highly difficult to compete with international companies (Read: Why Tata is manufacturing its products in China?)

Gold investment: I don't know why we indian women go crazy when it comes to gold. It's one of the factors that's affecting Indian economy. Wish we become much more wise in this matter.

Importing coal when we have enough resources within the country (we hardly use 30-40% of our production capacity and not able to run the mines profitably).

I'm sure there are so many other factors influencing the Indian economy as well.

WE cannot just boycott imports when we r seeking foreign money/investments..rightly put by Rakhii..Also, as Uma says, the quality of Indian product is awful..so impossible to use..many of them..except food products ofcourse..
The best way to deal with the Indian economy from now on is to GET RID of the freebies.. to keep poor happy as beggers..instead the same money can be utilized to improve power, infrastructure and subsidy to entrepreneurs to start business to employ Indians, so that you won't see fools around liquor shops all the time.
Also, the punishment for petty crime like thieving, taking bribe, ****ting, spitting and peeing on the road, and ticketless travelling on public transit..can be constructive ..like using such criminals to clean roads, to construct buildings and to monitor traffic violations etc., to bring orderly behaviour among people.
India's major problem is too many people crowding the public ares without any job or any constructive purpose in life.. so use every one of them for rebuilding and constructive use to improve economy, morals and the prosperity of the country as a whole. India with full of hooligans, thieves, rapists, lieing uneducated morons as politicians..literally ruining the country. Use every one such able bodied human beings to rebuild the country from scratch just barely for food, clothing and shelter. The concept of hardwork is totally forgotten among illiterate mass..and that's the contribution by our uneducated politicians.
Remove democracy in India as people have no clue how to use democracy in a civilised manner.. An upperhannded, militant regime would in a way help the people to bring in some change for better..though initially the so called human rights group will have a field day..but eventually India will turn out to be a heaven in about 2 to 3 decades..if the above suggestion is followed to the tilt.

    It is Govt's hands.

More than 50% of our imports are due to Coal and Oil.
Coal is the biggest headache. We need it to meet out growing energy needs.

India has one of the world's largest reserves of Coal but so much red tape exists.

    Govt needs to remove it.
11 coal mines of Coal India company are pending environmental clearnace.
Another 8 mines by private companies are stuck in red tape.

Becasue of coal gate scam and all, everyone is preffering to import it.
Also govt does not want to impact tribal and deal with lost votes during election time.

If they open this up, everthing will correct itself.

Beaucrary, Red Tape, Crony Capitalism are all scaring off FDI investors and preventing foreign investment.

    Attack Coal first.
Indian Coal for power plants should be way to go.

Create the infrastructure using our own raw materials, people will start working, they will earn, they will save, they will invest, economy goes up.

Export all raw materials(so no value addition), give useless schemes like NREGA so that people won't migrate but sit at their own homes and get daily 100-130 Rupees and get to eat the rotted ration shop supplied foods, get free mobile phones(and monthly talking time free too) and keep voting for the 'hand symbol'. What do you expect? India to surpass US of A and EU?

Yeswanth Sinha sounds to be more prudent than P.Chidambaram or Manmohan Singh.

    So.....
