Hi all, I frequently make groundnut chutney or groundnut powder at home . Roasting the peanuts has been a problem for me as it takes time to roast them in a kadai . My friends say to roast it in a MW. I have tried it but it either becomes black or is somewhat raw. I have Kenstar MW and I roast them in medium for 3+3 = 6mins. But they r still raw. Please help anybody.
hi chetavani u keep the peanuts for 4min. then just mix them and again for 2min if want a little brown keep for more time. but for this i take very less peanuts if u take more peanuts it takes more time. but after firest 4mins check every 2mins. u can smell the rosted penuts.once u get the time adjustment it is easy till time is trial an error.
Hi Chetavani and Manali, Very good tip... I've never tried roasting pea nuts in a micro wave. I do love groundnut chutneys but don't prepare them very often. This method is good and will give it a try. Thanks for sharing...
if you have a convection bake the peanuts at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.. you have evenly roasted peanuts without any monitoring.
