Dear ladies, My husband attends conferences/seminars as part of his office work. In these events they give a coffee mug with printed image of the venue, date of the event, logo, etc. There are now many such mugs at home. I am wondering if there is any way I can remove these printed images from the mugs? I would like to either leave them plain or repaint on them using acrylic paint. Have any of you tried doing it? Online search suggests to heat the mug and use dishwash scrub pad. But that is leaving scratch marks on the mug. I am interested to hear back from someone who has tried doing it successfully.
There are two major method to print on the mug. If they did thermal print we can't remove. If they did screen print you can try to wipe with any thinner or petroleum based liquid. The better solution is paint on the same mug with acrylic paint. And make a new design. If you post the image I can suggest some good concept.
