How To Rejuvenate Yourself In A Few Steps

    Mid life crisis hits women between ages of 40-60. This is where women struggle with their identity and confidence.
    Unfortunately, lots of people at this age group are unhappy and several life challenges and unpleasant, stressful situations make themselves lead a miserable life.
    I have been through a lot in life, from personal challenges to financial hiccups, marriage struggle, health issues etc..etc... apart from the day today life matters. As a result, I feel drained at times and have no energy to take care of my well-being.

    It is noteworthy to understand that only a happy person can make others happy. If you want to be happier & healthier and ready to make lifestyle changes, there are several ways to do that.

    I have decided to follow these 10 important steps starting from Today, 1st Sept 2022, to rejuvenate my life for better.

    1) Intermittent fasting (IF)
    IF has proven to be the best thing that helped me to lose weight in the past. This time, given my other health concerns I could follow max 14:10 window.

    2) Juice cleansing
    ABC juice has done wonders among cinema stars. The reviews in the internet are amazing. For fitness, glowing skin, and cleansing this is one great idea. It is always better to break your fast in the morning with ABC juice.

    3) Herbal medicines
    Fenugreek, cumin and mint are proven source of maintaining body heat, digestive system and keeping you fresh. I have decided to consider taking them religiously in my food. Soaked fenugreek seeds in the morning, boiled cumin water in the noon, mint tea as much as I want, and of course lemon, honey, non-fat yogurt, etc...

    4) Hair care
    Hair loss is the maid mid-life crisis for many. The long, healthy hair of your early twenties are no longer the same. After recurrent rebounding and other treatments, my hair looks very damaged. This require proper maintenance.
    Oiling, massaging and periodic parlor visits for hair care treatment is a must. Besides, I am going to try alternative hair packs from the kitchen. Curd, coconut milk, onion/garlic pack, alovera pack are all good to maintain hair.
    It is also important to ensure protein intake or supplements.
    Vit E is yet another proven hair support.

    5) Exercising
    After a major surgery, I am yet to resume regular exercise. I must start with simple yoga, and then strength training can follow later. I am not a fitness person, so it will take a lot of courage to hit the gym.
    For now, I walk for 20-30 mins daily, and ensure I always take the stairs instead of elevators, and walk/stretch in between office works.

    6) Diet
    This is the tricky area for me. I know what to eat, but I often lack the courage to cook that separately. I often eat what is cooked for the family.
    From now on wards, I am going to stop consuming sugar.
    I hate dieting. Anything that is different from my regular life doesn't stay long with me.
    Therefore, I am going to improvise my regular meal with few changes. Like limiting carb intake, increasing veggies, fruits and sea food. Less oil, more leaves.
    Also drinking more water.

    I can count the calorie intake and track my eating through my fitness pal app. This will help me to be in control.

    7) Live for self
    This is the problem for women like us. We lived for our parents, spouse and now for the kids. We live for the society and others. But never once we live for our self.
    I am going to live for myself hereafter. Self love is more important.

    8) Choose a hobby
    If you do not have one, chose what pleases you. From reading to gardening to cooking or learning a new skill. It is up to you
    For me, learning beauty culture is become my new addiction. I've learnt a lot of tutorials and you-tube videos on home facials, hair care, massaging, eyebrow threading etc... already

    9) Travel alone
    Travelling make you more open minded. If you travel alone, it gives you the sense of freedom and confidence.
    If you haven't tried before, start travelling alone at least to the next city, and explore things yourself.

    10) Sleep properly
    Last but not the least. Sleep for at least 7 hours daily.

    i am here with you, eventhou i am not able to do all of the above but i am trying some of them right now.. will try to follow all of these. by the way what kind of juice cleansing you trying to do??? please let me know so i can try too.

    Hi,

    I would like to follow a few of what you have said, am very bad when it comes to taking care of myself.

    To start with, let me at least try to drink fenugreek water, cumin water and walk for
    at least 20 minutes every day. Another thing I need to cut down is emotional eating and on sugars. I will try to follow for a week and see how am regular about it.

    I would like to try the ABC juice, not sure if I can drink it that raw, need to see if I can do that.

    i did workout and went for walking..

    sleeping got disturbed..

    i am not into dieting but trying to reduce junk food.. but i am into lot of fruits thats the sweet there, and i do watch what i eat..

    juice i will try over weekend see how it will be

    I did half hour walk yesterday, tried to cut down on junk foods. Drank fenugreek water and cumin water , no exercise yet, will need to do.

    I started this thread, but sadly for the first 4 days I have been off-track.

    I have come to Egypt to attend for a wedding, and now returning back to home. Tiring long travel, hotel accommodations, wedding and catching up with friends all made me slip away.

    I will resume the journey from tomorrow, and hopefully to be on track this month

    i was busy over the weekend didnt get to do the workout or of anything...

    just started yday again with some walking,jumping jacks,cycling..

    diet usually i do eat mostly veggies, cereal, rice and curry... which i am trying to switch over rice with beans need to figure it out that..

    didnt tried any of the juice will see into after a while
