Get a home bp monitor. Record bp at two specific times in a day and put that information on a computer worksheet (date, day, time, reading-systolic, reading-diastolic)

When conduits become constricted, it will be shown in blood pressure. Once a month or so you can look at your worksheet data to see if there is any trend. Such as, are weekdays higher than weekends ? Or is there a general up or downward movement of the readings ? Does healthy eating gleaned through conventional wisdom move your bp trend one way or the other ? Giving up smoking, chewing paan, quitting too many cups of chai/coffee etc.. for a month-- what does that do? Routine Measuring of a change in symptom is a step that helps achieve your goal. It is just like how a weighing scale helps us lose body weight through diet/exercise efforts. We see, we think, and we be happy.

Take the chart to the doctor during the annual physical exam.

Most of the body's cholesterol is produced by our liver. This chemical is required by the body to build cell membranes (for the control of the transfer of stuff into and out of the cells) and steroidal hormones.

Daily exercise, and eating only to half full (aka intermittent fasting) each time you eat are good habits for general health, and keeping the blood pressure down.
