How to put the design on cloth for embroidery or painting?

    Hi friends,

    Can anybody help me in knowing how to trace a design on cloth for painting?
    I wish to paint a salwar top by myself.

    You can use a white or yellow carbon to trace the design on cloth. The dark ones tend to get smudged. First trace the design on a white paper and use this for transferring the design. Or else you can use perforated tracing sheets. Take ink mixed with white chalk powder, dip a ball of cotton and keep on the perforations .The design will get transferred to the cloth.

    this is the trick applied in most part of the world

    YEs, this is the method most commonly used. But, I prefer to use a carbon sheet.. just make sure the carbon and design sheets are properly pinned to the cloth.
