We are having Open House at our local Toastmasters soon.

The Open House starts at specified time

    1. When should I place order? Should I visit pizza shop a day or two in advance
    2. How to make sure it arrives few minutes before start of Open House
    3. What if there are extra slices left

This may seem silly, but I only ordered Pizza for self for first time when I was early 30s.

Plz don't laugh at my question. Thanks!

    hehehe..

Go n visit their store.. Do u have in mind which company pizza u want ..

U can get offers like buy 1 get one free.. along with some starter too

But i doubt they will take it back :)

In my office.. three teams jointly ordered pizza for 70 ppls..

its like 18 large pizzas ( They got 36 ) , its on buy one get one..

So just calculate how many ppls will be coming to that session .. they r veg or non veg ..

Then I think 1 large definitely suffice two foodies at a time too :D

Visit the store couple of days in advance and sort it out. Insist on bring it on time and on the day of event remind them some three hours in advance.I know you are in-charge of that town hall meeting so give the contact number of some other ex-com to coordinate logistics.
Excomm generally eat the left over snacks ;-) and in case if so much is remaining pack it and take it home.
Good luck for your open house.

I was thinking a mom and pop pizza shop (we have plenty of those where we live).

I like the buy one get one free ... at most we may have 30 people.

I ended up pre-ordering 4, different types (with 8 slices further divided into 16 ), plus 4 sodas.

Still have to call an hour before and tell method of payment.

Hope the Treasurer will be there will the $$$ ---- kinda nervous because I am depending on someone else.

When I emailed the Treasurer to be there, he didn't reply. When people email me, I always reply with confirmation.

However he replied to my first email 30 minutes earlier when I asked for available funding. Kinda nervous .... learning to deal with administrating and organizing.

    Thank you for your inputs

    UPDATE

After last post the Treasurer replied, just reconfirming we'd be reimbursed.

Then today I placed the order and the Treasurer paid right then and there (phew, I thought I had to chalk up the $$$, which is ok, but I'm not sure how soon I'd be reimbursed).

The Open House had a great turnout. At the end I thanked everyone for their participation.

And there was still some pizza leftover :)
