hot glue may not stay longer. For RTW, they have industrial strength hot glue, unless u have that.
I have used gorrilla glue for some craft projects ( fabric, wood) not garments and also just fabric crafts like wall hanging etc. It is high strength and stays.
I have heard about ES6000 on fabric as well but never used ( i do not remember of that)

Actually I just remembered something so came back. I rembr watching a video, where crafter glued thick lace trim to thick velvet fabric and seems it stays the washes. That was many years ago, and i had plans to do same but then got distracted into something else.
You can use wood stick (like tooth pick ) or something for glueing stones. I have done that.

    That’s what I’m thinking.

Toothpicks to apply glue and tweezers to place the rhinestones.

Will save lot of resources. Planning on doing this to winter hat. I’ll put rolled up towel in the hat first.
