How to effectively stock provisions?

    Dear All,
    I usually buy provisions on month on month basis according to the need of the items. But some times, it so happens that certain items are needed in excess say festival season or guests and we buy those items in excess.
    Alas end up in excess quantity and i really break my head how to preserve them bonkbonkand USE them too.......

    Can you all shed light on?

    this is a problem that most of grapple with at one time or the other! I just have bigger jars and I store them all there and check that before I buy more - no easy way out is there?
