    some1 plz help me in cutting an anarkali dress, the one dts similar to the A-line kameez..i searched alot bt got jst pics nd patterns of churidaar..

    what should i do han...!!!:cry

    measurement for infant size clothes

    Hi sweethearts,

    I m going to have my first baby in October and want to make some front open (bcz of the umbilical cord) upper garments for him/her.
    I am desperately looking for measurement chart, especially for Indian babies. can someone plz tell me what should be the –
    length – shoulder to waist
    width – across chest/waist
    neck opening
    I will be so grateful ...

    Here are the measurements I use:

    Chest-19"
    length(shoulder-waist)-11"
    neck depth-
    front neck-2"
    backneck-1"
    neck width-5.25"

    Thanku Zova, arm hole is calculated from the chest measurements.
    Fold the cloth into 4.
    mark 1/4 chest from the top- ie, 19/4 =4.75" Mark this point as C.

    mark 4.75" +1" from C horizontally.(1" is loose) This is point is E.

    Mark 1/2" slope from shoulder(1/2 shoulder is taken - shoulder is 7, so 3.5") This point is B.

    Place a French Curve between the points B & E to get arm hole- both front & back.

    Hope this is clear. Will try & post the step by step procedure soon.
