How To Deal With Dominating In- Laws

    Blue read marks may not be the problem as group has lot of members. I have decreased my frequency to visit the group itself. There are nothing interesting conversations. It’s like young generation people are bored with regular/Frwd messages whereas elderly people are engaged and enthusiastically sending frwd messages. :tearsofjoy:

    A good way to deal with these barbs is to not take the bait. Don't respond unless they address you directly.

    Don't leave the group. Be nice and make pleasant comments to people who are civil to you. Join the rest of the group in dignified behavior. Let your in-laws make a spectacle of themselves. Praise other people's statuses, ignore theirs.

    If they post a serious video and ask you for a response in the group, say ":lol: cute video! Thank you for sharing." It will confuse or anger them while you get on with your life.

    Don't answer her calls unless your DH is around. Be nice, be polite. As soon as she gets nasty, give DH the phone and walk away.

    Don't confront them — that never ends well.

    If you're forced to talk to her, just keep saying "Uh huh" to everything. She'll get tired sooner or later.
