    Now I know why my my huband does not "put me in his palm". I thought it was the extra pounds I was carrying.

    But confusion- how can he put me on his palm AND dance with me?

    Never mind though- I am not going to be any one's pet. So I guess I never get to dance in palm of my husband :biglaugh

    I am going to give the question a serious response.

    Care and affection for spouse's family is an offshoot of being married. It is a blessed feeling to count your spouse's parents, siblings, nieces, nephews among your loved ones. Peaceful life with plenty of love and affection between the husband and wife should be there independent of that offshoot.

    It is really sad marriage if the man or woman is getting peace and love and affection as a reward for caring about in-laws. I simply cannot understand using 'techniques' to achieve peace, love and affection from husband.

    Really ? Why is MIL insecure ? (The most abused excuse for abusing the DIL ) And why is it DIL's responsibility to free her from her insecurities and make her secure ?
