Why so much research and analysis into likes and dislikes of every person in husband's family en route to a coveted spot in his palm and a dance there...

    Simpler techniques exist:
The way to man's heart is through his stomach --- just be sure to thrust upward through his ribcage.

But some women don't want that 'most trusted woman' in the family title. They simply want to be the man's wife and life partner. They want to have a relationship where woman does not do things so husband will put her in his palm and dance to her tunes.

Care, concern, love and affection for husband's family naturally happen and mature as the years go by. No need to pretend it or overdo it or do that with the aim of getting into husband's good books.

Nope Kiran bedi has only one daughter...KB doesn't even live with her husband.. Her husband didn't want to formally divorce for the benefit of his daughter...

..I guess this article is posted by a MIL who wants to give her 'gayaan' to all the DILs in IL..Can't imagine the plight of her DIL at home...!!! I will not be surprised if her 'pet' had grown a tail..listening to her gyaan..

Really??? I find something very disturbing in being called MIL's pet. Sorry, did not get your logic.

What happens if every one wants to 'be ruling the family'? Won't it lead to petty tricks and mind games among family members, like in the saas bahu serials, to be MIL's pet, when every one becomes power hungry?

I was asked to follow this 'simple' technique too..by my DH..and ended up locked in the kitchen all weekends cooking and shoving food into his entire family's mouth... And getting "appraised' on my performance... Now I will not hesitate to massage that tiny little heart to enter into it..(forced entry, of course !!)

Yes shouldn't people "Live and let live " in the ideal situation without anyone "ruling" or "petting "/"domesticating " anyone ?
