    Nandu,
No yaar its possible. He might have applied in EB1C category which is for certain executives and managers of multinational entities.Sunitha's hubby might have fallen in that category.

Application in the EB1 category are processed very fast and eeven one of our friends got her GC within 3 months.

    Ambige,
To my knowlege I485 approval is the final stage of your GC process...
I guess she might have applied in the EB1 category where applications are processed real fast...most probably.
But again there is always a exception..like as in chocolate case...

EB1 category is current now and so we may c approvals faster once i140 is through.
But EB2 category is backlogged and hence the delay...but to me USCIS doesnt seem to pick dates acc to priority dates...its God's blessings we need here for one's case to be picked.
BTW do you have a approved i 140 and waiting for 1 485 approval?

    chocolate.
No,EB2 is not current and not has been current since the 2007 fiasco if you had followed up the visa bulletin as released by the travel dot state dot gov.
Many people are waiting for even i140 approvals since july 2007 and also note some who had applied in 2008 got their approvals.Thats why I said USCIS doesnt have a criteria to pick up cases and we need The Almighty's blessings alone in this regard.

Just letting you know after following up so many immigration threads and no offense intented...
