I dont know where to post this Thread, I couldnt find the section for Mental peace, so as a working women i am posting here

How do you all cope up with the Disappointments in your life? I am going through very big disappointment in my personal and professional life, i have waited for 4 years to move to abroad, however, recently that opportunity got screwed up totally, i may not get chance again.. I feel like i am totally done? dont know how things will turn now. I am unable to accept this reality..

When i was thinking about this, i wanted to ask people, how do you all accept the reality of life? Few things that you cant change? It may be anything, But how Did you move on...

I need to think about so many things to get back my life on track.. But all i need right now is some suggestions and healing words.. Please do pour your heartout...

How did you deal with some heartbreaking situation and how did you come out of that.

    Hi
Lot of expectations lead to such problem. If you sure there is no second chance, think what you can do I mean other alternative, that will give solution.you will accept when you have alternative, all these days you were evolved in one thought, that is restricting you from acceptance. You made all your trials, still it didn't workout, that means destiny is something else.Dont be disappointed, you will have more best than this.Think once with cool mind.
    Regards
    Ratna

Grass is always greener on the other side..remember that:)

Comparison and expectations of how things should be is another recipe for disaster.

There is one mantra you can always follow..
    “So what?”

so what if you do not go abroad? How is this going to change your life drastically?

dreams are one thing but what is the worst thing that will happen if those dreams don’t come true?

Immediately our mind will spiral into emotions like we are losers and failures etc BUT remember all these are mental conditioning of the society.

nobody is a failure as long as to they live a life true to themselves.

All these never give up,dare to dream slogans forced by the society is causing so much pressure and stress amongst us humans.

    everything is a mirage.

Relax and count the blessings in your life and have another backup. That is not a loser attitude but a smart move.

Change your mindset.Only then miracles will happen.

I was resolved to wait for that fb ....before I contributed my two cents here:).

The pain of a loss expressed in OP is so real. Eventually everybody wants to experience that abroad-thing, and then decide for themselves. For those who are very adjustable, abroad life may work out just fine. For me, there were many losses of good friends, and even one special friend. And then we bear those opportunity costs and go with whatever we feel are the better opportunities.

No matter where you are, life can be tough. And that is why, one must catch/grab whatever silly joy there is in life - home or away. Personal pain due to loss is like being on the family way: one walks alone, pretty much.

I don't know if this heals & helps, but, living abroad isn't that rosy.

Well, "accept" that it really did happened without resisting it or reasoning it out why it shouldn't happen to you. Don't dwell on it, distract yourself, do not revisit any thought that spins you off into negativity/hopelessness and stay focussed on what you have. Maybe what happened, happened for your good.

Hi Anika, I am great follower of your posts and always liked ur posts :)
The problem is i stayed almost 7+ years in abroad and due to visa issues i came back to india.. But as a family we always wanted to go there and raise our kid there.. I have experienced both onsite and offshore personal & professional lifes. And we prefer onsite more...

As u said, the comparison also causing so much stress.. i dont consider money or society pressure, but i wanted my kid to study and grow up n abroad.. So thats why i felt very upset...

i will definitely count my blessings.. Thank you so much for your response :)

Life is full of surprises, think of the cons if you would have moved and try to look up to the good. But give yourself sometime to grieve and bounce back!
If it's a PR thingy, think about the complete relocation and starting everything all over again from scratch in a new land, esp in this covid situation.
If it' a ICT,you can try again at the right time.

    All the best :)
