Hi: I want to know how much does a puppy dog cost in India. I know that the rate varies accdg to the breed but can you give a rough estimate for small and big dogs. Big dogs like German Shepherd, Labrador etc and small dogs like pomerians, or other breeds you know. Also, please tell me how much does it cost each month for maintanance etc. Do you need to take insurance (medical) like how you do in US?

I just bought a lab pup 3 weeks ago which costed me Rs. 6000.. with registration but that was because we bought it thru a vet who is or friend and the pup's father's owner was not a regular dog breeder. But if you approach a breeder labs cost Rs 6000/ -Rs 8000/- / golden ret cost- Rs.8000/- Rs.10, 000/- GSD / doberman costs around Rs. 15,000/- 20,000/- Beagles/ Bull dogs/ costs around 23,000/- + Most of the smaller breeds do costs more. these are the rates in Bangalore. the vaccinations are costly and so is dog food... I really am not sure about the monthly maintenace part K
