    HI

I managed to google and FROM the below links I understood that its NOT wrong to light Lemon Lamps at home to pray Goddess Durgai and in any female form of God and God Sri Sai. Pls. go through the link below. The same subject has been discussed in IL before too.

Secondly, people who live outside India, we dont have a temple for Goddess Durga and we have not been able to light lemon lamps like how we do in India. So I guess 1 lemon cut into 2 halves can be lit at home with utmost devotion to fulfill the vows / prayers. Please ELDERS advise.

    Best Regards
    Shanti

Nice that you browsed through to find out more about this..Infact even i browsed the net before starting a thread here.Since i didnt find anything related to what i have mentioned ,i thought i would post to find out if anybody is aware..It actually came in some magazines few years back..Now i dont know which magazine and the other details..And the link where you have shown -Starsai, to my knowledge it is started by a young person who may/may not be aware about this...And never before i have read anywhere that Sai encouraged lemon lamps,he only spoke about lighting normal lamps(Learned people pls correct me if iam wrong)..And yes for Goddess Durga worship, lemon lamps are advised which iam aware of..Anyway thanks for the efforts you took in browsing about this:)

    Dear Shanthi Sister,

As far as my knowledge goes, I am personal beneficiary of Tuesday's Rahu Kaal Pooja Lighting lemon lamps erstwhile before I was pulled into Sayee's fold, and It is widely practiced even till this day.

It is absolutely fine to proceed with lighting of lamps on Tuedays, Fridays or Sundays from the learned and elders whom I had approached.

However we don't do this at home is just that we are not in lines with the temples and hence during Raahu Kaal if you are abroad, lighting of Earthen lamps and praying to MAA DURGA for warding off evils, fulfillment of wishes at home is absolutely fine.

HAPPY POOJA and May Baba fulfill all your wishes and guide you too.

    Om sairam:bowdown
