How long can you store fermented dosa batter in the fridge ??

I have batter that i grinded last 12 days ago. But we had lots of parties so we ate out most days. I still have lots of batter. Would hate to see it go to waste. After all my wet grinder broke so I took the effort to grind so much batter for 30 minutes. Is it safe to eat ? I think if I make it for breakfast lunch and dinner it should be done.

It will start to smell sour and off when it’s too old. At that point it’s not good to use it.

If the batter smells too funky and sour, better discard it. I usually grind a big batch and freeze it in containers as single meal portions and before use, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight.

If the fungus not formed on top of the batter ofcourse you can use it but if you have children who is below 3-4yrs better not to serve them and adults you can hav,if the batter is sour just add some wheat flour which removes sour taste from batter and add onion and other veggies to give better taste ,u can prepare some tasty indian bfast with the batter and u can have it for next day too..

Maximum 4 days would be fine after it smells and find yellow color on the sides.Safe not to use 12 days old dough.
