How Do L2 Visa Holders Get Ssn Here? Will It Impact Any Tax Benefits?

    Hi ladies,
    I am on L2 visa and recently moved to US.
    I am planning to take DL for me. For that, I need SSN. We actually thought I am not eligible for SSN and we went to SSN office to ask for Ineligibility letter for SSN. But they said L2 holders can get SSN. So, am bit confused now. Hubby has some tax benefits as am on dependent visa.( don't know what exactly s that as we recently moved and will be filing tax next year only). So, whether getting SSN does not hold any tax benefits? Do anyone come across this? Please throw up some light.. Very confused abt all these stuffs..

    Hi, I recently moved to US on L2. I have previous work exp and want to pick up a job ASAP. Could you pls help me about the procedure to get SSN and the DL. Pls share ur experience along with things that I need to beaware of. Thank you so much in advance!
