I left my now teenage daughter alone for some time while I went to drop my younger son off to his classes. When I came back she was watching something on tv and switched it off. How do I find out what she was watching. I tried checking Netflix , nothing. YouTube nothing. BUT you can tell by her face that she was watching something inappropriate. A teenager should have common sense and I need to invoke some values in her. But I would like to find out what she was watching and how to find out what she was watching too. There are security cameras in the house and I caught some pictures of the movie she was watching, but I can’t figure out what movie it is. Please advise. I thought I set up all parental controls on the tv, but looks like I didn’t ! Help !
And yes, I never leave my kids alone, but she has become sooooo stubborn and will not come with me to drop my son off. Lately, I am sick of missing the classes due to her and wasting the money, so I am leaving her home alone. Just 15 minutes here and there but still… she is up to something.
You can try the below links - netflix search history -> How to see viewing history and device activity similarly for youtube ->
I can understand how pretty concerned you are about what's going on with your teenager daughter. Given the context, it sounds like you are looking for some advice on how to approach the situation and possibly some tips on how to monitor or check the teen's viewing history. you're worried about what she might have been watching. Instead of snooping around, I would suggest maybe you can have an open conversation with her about it? Ask her what she was watching and why she switched it off when you came in. It's a good opportunity to talk about boundaries and what's appropriate. As for checking viewing history, you could ask her directly – might be a good chance to discuss online safety and responsibility. How does that sound?
