How can girl celebrate Karva Chauth if unmarried, yet hopeful of G-d given Husband?

I'm sure there are nice Men out there.

Plus, I don't want anyone to know I am celebrating Karva Chauth because they will say it is silly because I am single.

And I still have to do chores around the house (will obviously skip exercise)

Is fasting from Sun up till Sun down good enough

BTW I am in USA, in metro area, hence no direct access to Moon

How to break fast

And do I drink water only? Plz advise ladies.

It is nice that you are doing KC without a husband.
How do you mean "no direct access" to moon?
You expect cloudy skies and not be able to see the moon?
If you are single, and living with no one but yourself, you can easily use a large mirror and moon yourself
And then you can break the fast with a nice glass of cold chablis, with some cheesy crackers.
In Amreeka that is now totally same sex approved for married couples, any gender spouse can fast for the other.

I dunno if I will be able to see moon with tall buildings.

Ok, well I ended up sleeping late and woke up late.

Tried to pray and eat breakfast + lunch before sunrise, although I saw cracks shining in the horizon.

We'll see how today goes (no water, eh?)
