We had our housewarming shindig recently. And we had a barbeque theme thing going on for us. Nothing too big or extravagant. It depends on the crowd you will have over aswell.
Most of the people we had over were whites and indians who have lived here for a while. And without sounding racist, I will tell you that they love the chicken tikka kebabs and beer
I suggest paying attention to the food and the drinks and the entertainment part If you are gonna have family over, games like antakshari and dumb charades and the likes are fun with a huge crowd.
If you have a backyard, go for the bbq theme. It is fun!!
And throw in one of those inflatable pools and your party is a hit
