Hi, Does anyone know if we have online house registration in Chennai. We made a deal of buying a flat second hand from owners(2 family members together). We are trying to take over their impending loan. It's in progress. We paid a lump sum amount to the owners so that they can close their loan and transfer it to us. All this started in dec 2019. However the owners are putting the registration process on hold as they are afraid to come to registration office due to covid. They are asking us to hold indefinitely. By the way, we moved to this flat as planned and did wood work and painting work too. We are little scared to keep putting this process on hold. Any suggestion to move this forward would be of great help and ease our tension. Thanks.
Registration cannot be done online. It has to be done in the registrar office and they have to verify all original documents and see the people in person to verify aadhar etc.
