hi I just wanted to give a tip which i have been using for the past year or so. U can wash the curry leaves (the fresh ones) drain them and microwave them for 4 mins and it becomes very crisp and retains the green colour too. The time is for a big bunch of curry leaves. Just thought would share this when i read the karvepellai podi recipe.
I really love Home made meals like simple dishes and dessert. I'm also do some party food that suit visitors.
Namaste Krishnamma,:thumbsup I am new to this site .Have been going through your recipes.I wish I had found this site earlier.I wouldn't have to cook using the packaged powders. But anyway thanks for all your posts. It was of great help. Will make fresh powders from now on.Thanks to you again. Will keep in touch. Have a nice day. Regards, Latha
yes my dear, I also gave the same tip in one of my threads. what you are saying is correct. the leaves will retain green colour, by which we feel fresh.
Dear Krishnamma I really appreciate your willingness and patience to share all those great recipies here. I never got an opportunity to learn cooking from my mother, but i started to learn that art by my own and through internet..and i have immense gratitude to you and Chitvish especially in helping me master cooking. once again thanking you regards
Dear Krishnamma, Thanks for all your recipes for podis and ready made mixes. It's a precious thing to safeguard for a life time.:bowdown I have a doubt amma. Can you please clarify what type of rice should be used for adai mix and dosa mix ( ie,. is it raw rice or idly rice [boiled]).:confused2: It would be great if you clarify it as early as possible so that i can prepare it. Thank you once again amma.
