Regarding getting sick often, i was advised( thannila romba irukatheenga) not to touch water often. For my first baby, i was not able to do that, since maid was on leave always. So after four or five months, i used to catch cold and fever every 10 days. Later i realised that. So for my second baby, i avoided touching water as much as possible, so this time that problem did not arise. May be you can try that

Myself being a vegetarian, my vitamin b12 was very poor. I was not able to function even 25% of my usual ability some 3 months back.now after 8 doses of b12 injection, i am feeling better but only 50%. I am also on the lookout for regaining the earlier health.

Mine both were caesarean only. I read somewhere , the first two to three months is very crucial for recovery and you need adequate rest that time. If you pushing yourself too much that time, your recovery time is also pushed.

I personally think, we don't have the stamina and energy like our mothers and grandmothers, because they ate healthy food and were doing all household chores physically. Also they had special pathiya samaiyal for recovery of mother, that also helped in lactation.

My maid takes leave very often and I do end up washing utensils on those days..that may have affected my health as there is cold water in tap, no hot water facility in kitchen.

If possible, you can try for someone on freelance atleast for all those wet activities when maid is on leave. Nowadays i do like that only, especially when vessels are more to wash.☺
