thank you all for such healthy recipes.. and also for talking on the weight gain.

my 3.5 year old is too puny too and can still wear her 1 year old clothes or even 6 months.. all your responses are so convincing and makes me feel better.

thank you all ladies for such healthy recipes.
my younger son is 15months old (1year+3months). pls suggest what kind of food should i give him. can i give him sathu maavu or nutritious malt porridge as per the above recipes?
as i very rarely make chapatis at home (sorry i am not expert at chapati making), i always feel my kids lack nutrition of whole wheat. my elder son is 6 and half. so pls suggest how to give them nutrition of whole wheat except making chapatis. we are rice eaters. so only rice or rice produts like dosa, idli, poha, upma are made at home. use of other grains like wheat/ragi never happens at home.
pls suggest what kind of porridge can i give my 15 month old baby boy. and also suggest me a full nutritional food for my elder one too.
hope your recipes are quick and easy to make....like the above recipes...roasting all grains and making its powder is very easy for making everyday quick dishes for kids.

@baby1 You can give any of the porridge listed here for both your kids. The recipes given here are nutritious.

You can make wheat dosa, wheat pancakes, Pooris.

thank you ramya. i came to know that chitvish recipes are available for taking printouts in pdf form. do you or anyone here can give me the link for such files to download all recipes of chithra madam? i went to the thread "downloadable recipes of chitwish" and searched there but all recipes were not available there in the pdf file given there. i searched for rasam varieties in that pdf file but it was not there. i was interested in having downloading recipes of rasams, curry and subziz etc. day to day dishes. if anybody having the links of all downloadable recipes of chitvish pls give me. thanks in advance.

the person who helped converting the recipes into pdf did as much as she could. now chitvish recipes are available as a app. if you have a android phone you can download askchitvish basic which is free, but does not have all the recipes..check it out and if you are hooked buy the premium that has loads of her latest recipes.

And baby, if we wait for a day when we can start on some thing that is going to be beneficial for your kids, it will not happen. you need to definitely take some effort, make it possible. this is the right time for you to introduce new tastes and get them used to it.

just plan your cooking, and keep stock of ingredients, and you will be turning out healthy and tasty dishes...
